Are you currently in the season where you are ready to see the blessings of the Lord in the land of the living. Have you ever wondered, “Lord when will it be my time?” If so, here are 5 reasons your blessings may be delayed, or you feel stagnant in life!
Get Into Alignment
Are you in alignment with God? In alignment with God, means that you are surrendering your will for His will. In that process a few things happen: You begin learning how God wants you to live. You find out who you are in God. You study the promises of God and you become familiar with Jesus Christ and how His crucifixion empowers your life. As you go through this journey your knowledge will expand so don’t focus on learning everything in one day. You will grow in Christ the more you read the Bible, study scriptures, and listen to sermons from people who are reputable and teach EXACTLY WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS! Throughout this journey God will reveal what He needs you to know in the season you’re in. To apply this wisdom to your life you must release everything from your mind that you thought you knew so that His truth can flourish and renew your mind.
Your walk with God will challenge everything you thought you knew. His ways are not what the world would consider realistic. There will be times when you must believe without having science to back it up because God’s Kingdom moves off faith and believing that things are finished before you’ve physically even started.
I want to encourage you to have an open heart and have a made-up mind to trust and believe in God. If you find yourself struggling come to God, in prayer, with all your concerns, mistakes, traumas and whatever else you may be holding on to and He will give you what you need to overcome and move forward. Ask Him to help you get into alignment with His desires, repent for your sins and turn your back on the old habits and look forward to what God has for you. God bless you!

Repent
If there is sin in your life whether it known or unknown that hasn’t been addressed this could be holding your blessings back. You cannot knowingly commit sin and still think you are in alignment to receive a blessing from God. It’s not happening, and if you believe it will that is a trick of the enemy. GOD IS PURE AND HOLY! HE HATES SIN! So, set your heart before God and ask Him to reveal to you any sins that you may be committing or have committed. Then, ask God to forgive you and be sincere! Ask Him to change you and begin the journey of changing your mindset so that you may become who He created you to be. True repentance is asking God for forgiveness and taking the initiative to change your mind set for the better and choosing not to go back to sinful behavior. You must put to rest that old mentality.
Hebrews 10:26-27: Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.
Acts 17:30: “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.
Forgiveness
In order to receive the blessing, you have been praying for you have to rid your heart of ill feelings. Address and let go of any hatred, bitterness, and resentment. If someone has hurt, you forgive them! Mistreated you forgive them! Lied on you forgive them! Lied to you forgive them! Dragged your name through the mud forgive them! Whatever they did you MUST forgive them because that unforgiveness is holding you back. When you forgive it opens Heaven to work miraculous miracles in your life! Forgiveness is for your sake, no one else’s! Let God deal with them instead of taking matters into your own hands.
Mark 11:24-25: I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”
True Motives
Why do you want God to bless you? Are you trying to showboat? Is it to make yourself feel better? Whenever you are asking for a blessing have a pure heart, and the desire for God to be glorified instead of you. God sees our hearts and that’s what He looks at. Ask yourself if you don’t receive what you’re asking for will you still praise Him? Would you still love God? Would you still trust Him? From my personal experience motives have always played a huge part in God answering my prayers. So, take a moment and truly analyze why you want this blessing and if you didn’t receive it would you still be able to praise God.
James 4:2-3 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.
His Timing/Your Season
God knows exactly when you’re ready to receive a blessing. You DO NOT want your blessings outside of the time it’s supposed to be given because it can easily turn into a burden. We must be prepared physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for it. We must be READY TO RECEIVE AND MAINTAIN THE BLESSING!
Has God ever given you something you prayed for, and it became a curse rather than a blessing? Well, I have experienced that and let me tell you nothing is worse than getting something you prayed for, and it turns out to be more of a burden than a blessing. I thank God I experienced that because it helped me to appreciate God’s timing. I don’t want anything unless it’s my season! So, I would like to encourage you to be patient as you wait to receive the blessing. In the meantime, work on building the character to sustain all that God has in store.

I honestly can tell you when I incorporated these tips into my life, I got the biggest blessing of all! After 10 years of waiting, I finally got pregnant with a baby boy!!
